Get Well Soon Card

This is the card that I was working on my desk during WOYWW.  It's a get well card for a friend.  I used Art Impressions People Clear Stamp Set - Get Well.  I found mine at Michaels.

Here's the card:

And the inside

And a closer up side view:

Yesterday people asked what the tiny bits were on my desk on WOYWW.  They were the pill bottles I made.  I used the pill bottle stamps from the AI set.  I colored them then I did one of my favorite things.  I covered them with 3D Crystal Lacquer.  After they dried I cut them out.  Gave some nice dimensions to the bottles.

Here's a closer view:

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate any comments you want to leave.
Have a good day!

PS.  My BFF April made a card with the same stamp.  You can see her card on her blog.  I'm really digging that die she used.....might be another one I have to get.  I need more die storage!!!  LOL

Challenge 181 - Add a Brad

Art Impression Challenge 181 - Add a Brad.   I love Art Impression stamps, and this new stamp I found at Michael's is no exception.  I added flowers and brads to two of the girls hats to make they really big and stand out.  Here's my card for the challenge:

The image comes from the stamp set  New Hampton ART IMPRESSIONS RUBBER STAMP clear cling set GOT STYLE.  The saying for the card was from anther AI set - Dare to be Fabulous.  I thought how perfect with the BIG accessorized hats.  :)

I made the background by following a post  - Caught In Crystal  by PartiCraft

First you squeeze 3D Crystal Lacquer acetate.

Then you drop alcohol inks.

Then lightly sprinkle some perfect pearls that blend with your colors.

Lastly you crinkle up  a piece of tissue paper and then lay it on top & pat down - I used my brayer.

The let it dry.
I couldn't get a picture without a glare - but this is the end result.  My tissue paper was too big - but my first try I made it too small! So I figured it was easier to cut off the excess after it dried!    I made this with a 8.5 x 11 piece of acetate so I could cut it into several backgrounds.

Thanks for stopping by!

As always I love to read all comments!

WOYWW

That's right it's - What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  Thank you Julia for bringing us all together.  Sending you hugs and well wishes1!

Busy week. What else is new!!  My desk is a mess....but not as bad as the floor!  One day I'll show that!!  So here's my desk with my card in progress.

Here's a closer look at the card I was working on.

Then here's the finished project:

After I added the bling, I decided I didn't like the BIG bling in the corners....but too late it's stuck.  It's not bad, but I think it looked better without.  Live and Learn.  :)

And from the side:

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!!!

WOYWW

It's WOYWW.  For those that don't know what that is it means "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday".  Our host, Julia has a lot going on in her life and is in need or prayers across the world.  Please keep her in your prayers.

On to my messy desk.  This week I'm working on a photo album from my son's volleyball team.  There are 9 kids on the team and I'm trying to do a page for every boy and several team pages.  Hopefully I'll get it done this week.

I used my Silhouette to cut out each of the boys names, and headings for the album.

Also I couldn't find any volleyball stickers that I liked, so I just made my own.  I printed a page of volleyballs and then added 3D Crystal Lacquer.  Here's a picture of them drying.

That's it for this week.  Thanks for stopping by.  I LOVE reading everyone's comments, but I also understand not having time.  And no need to apologize for coming by late & commenting - I love hearing from you at any time!!

Have a great week!
