More Dare 2B Artzy

I love hot air balloons, so of course I had to get the Dare 2B Artzy Hot Air Balloon Combo Pack (Great deal!!).  Here's my card:

I created the sky background by coloring with my Zig Clean Markers on watercolor paper.  I added dimension by cutting out the small balloon from the sky background.  I put the small balloon on the base of the card and then used pop dots to raise the sky background.  I used more pop dots to raise the large balloon.  Then I tried something different with the balloon on the right.  I happened to find a card by Sarah Little where she used Shrinky Dinks.  So that's what I decided to do as well.  I stamped the large balloon on Shrinky Dinks paper, colored & heated.  It made the perfect balloon to add to my card.

Here's a side view of the card so you can see the different dimensions.

Dare 2B Artzy

Here's the card I made using my Dare 2B Artzy stamps.  I used the Give Thanks stamp set with the coordinating dies.  Here's the result:

Here's my recipe for the card:

First I made a stain glass looking background.  I made the background using white card stock, a stencil, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Mini Ink Blending tools, and some Post-it tape to keep the stencil in place.

Tape down the stencil and dab on the color.  Once you peel off the stencil you will get a stain glass looking result:

I then used My Favorite Things die to make the cut out from the stain glass background and two more cut outs out of coordinating blue cardstock.  I offset the two blue die cuts on the bottom and then put the stain glass pattern on top.  This made the stain glass cut out look like it was lined in blue.

Stamped and cut out the Dare 2B Artzy leaves ad offset them the same way as the background.

I painted the brown leaves with Wink of Stella Brush Glitter.  The wetness of the Wink of Stella made the leaves curl a little bit and gave more dimension to the card.

Here's another card using the same type of technic but using Avery Elle Furry Friends Stamp Set and dies.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Get Well From Group

I needed a get-well card for a friend at work to be from all nine of us at work.  She loves cats and dogs.
So Inky Antics (http://www.inkyantics.com/index.htm)to the rescue!
I stamped the group of cats from Inky Antics Cute Cats #3 Clear  on plain white cardstock and colored with my Copic Markers.  I then stamped the two different individual dogs from Delightful Dogs #2 on plain white cardstock and colored them with my Copic Markers as well.  I fussy cut the two dogs.  I used a couple pop dots to bring the Great Dane out a little bit, then used another pop dot on the hound dog to bring him out even more.  I thought it brought a lot of dimension to the card.  I ran the blue paper background through  my Cuttlebug using a Darice paw print embossing folder.  I still needed one more cat or dog to make the 9th person on my team, so I added a little cute cat in the inside from Cute Cats # 1 Clear.

Here are the results.  I hope you like it.  If you have any questions, just let me know!

Thanks!

Diet time

I love the AI people stamps and these just made me chuckle.   While trying to lose weight you need to laugh and have fun.  That's what these cards are all about.
I colored these three images with my copic markers.
